Become a Teacher and a Learner: Reflections on "Our Mother God"
Over the past two years, the "Our Mother God” team of five Urantia Book enthusiasts met regularly via zoom with the intention of learning from, and with, one another. During that process, we learned a great deal about the various approaches to understanding and "teaching" our topic. We also learned a great deal about one another’s personal lives, and we naturally formed deep, everlasting connections of understanding and respect. Over the course of our meetings, I also came to
The Korean New Reader Course: An Adventure in Cross-Cultural Education
UUI has offered the Urantia Book New Reader Course (NRC) in English twelve times over the past several years, for a hundred plus participants. The course utilizes ten handouts of carefully chosen and juicy passages from the text. Each is designed to both intrigue new readers and still provide a comprehensive overview of the key terms and concepts, and the very different types of material in the revelation. It is an entirely new kind of pleasure and challenge to teach this co

Your God is Too Small
by Michael Hagan ∞ with Monica Kemp When I was a teenager, our pastor led our youth group in reading and discussing a book by that title. Everyone at some point in their life has been tempted by a false god: success, wealth, popularity, or power. Many dedicate their lives to one or more. It’s easy to be seduced into worshiping the idols of business, politics, or pop culture. Some of them even have their own TV shows, podcasts, TikTok or YouTube sites, attracting mill

"I Love; Therefore I am"
Seedings by Michael Hagan ∞ with Monica Kemp René Descartes established a new era for Western philosophy when he wrote, “I think; therefore, I am.” I am able to think; therefore, I exist. Man, unlike animals, is self-aware. It is humankind’s ability to think that sets us apart from the animal heritage from which we sprang. But to completely leave the animal in us behind, we need a higher goal than the creation of tools. Thinking is only the first step towar

Leaving a Meaningful Legacy: Exploring Legacy Giving Options
Legacy giving options come in many forms, each with unique benefits and considerations. Understanding these options can help you choose the best way to support your favorite causes. 1. Bequests in Wills One of the most common legacy giving options is including a gift in your will. This can be a specific amount of money, a percentage of your estate, or particular assets such as property or stocks. Bequests are flexible and can be changed at any time during your lifetime. 2. "Spiritual Breadcrumbs"
Seedlings by Michael Hagan and Monica Kemp Like Hansel and Gretel, we’re trying to find our way home. Unlike them, we aren’t kids lost in the local woods. Instead, we sometimes feel smaller than needles lost in an infinite haystack. Not merely days, our own journey home will consume billions of years and trillions of miles. We aren’t traveling alone. After our first moral decision around age six, each of us was given a priceless celestial compass. This Spirit Pilot, from and

More Advice from TEP Alumni
Students across the globe dedicate their time and mental energies to further their understanding of Urantia concepts, while growing in their desire to become more faithful children of God. Here is some practical advice from Brenda Lyman, a 2024/2025 graduate who hopes to use what she has learned from the program to share the revelation with her fellow members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. "This is a safe space to learn, so don't think you have to know ev
Alumni Advise New Students

Over 9 months, these 18 spiritual seekers will be trained and transformed into spiritual ambassadors. We asked last year's graduates of the program to share their wisdom and experience gained with the new class, those about to start a transformational journey. Here's a testimonial from Ejikeme Obasi:: "One of the unexpected gifts of the program—the
