Inmate Correspondence Program Partnership
Since 2020, Urantia University has partnered with the Urantia Book Fellowship’s Inmate Correspondence Program (ICP) to share our Self-Directed Studies of the Individual Papers of The Urantia Book with inmates across the country.
Over 400 courses have been sent to 123 inmates for in-depth personal study. The courses themselves consist of a summary of the paper, highlights of each section, definitions of terms, a quiz, reflective questions, and a topic for meditation. Inmates who complete a course and turn in their responses can receive a Certificate of Completion, which at some institutions is worth 16 hours of ‘good time’ to be deducted from their sentences.
This partnership has been a spiritual success story. The inmates who engage with The Urantia Book are hungrier than most people for spiritual knowledge and growth.

"The course for me was provocative and stimulating… Thinking of these questions and answers as I do helps me to fully understand and articulate for myself this most important subject of God himself."
Jourdon, ICP Participant
“…ever since I first dove into Urantia, my days have gotten brighter… I wake up thankful to see another day... I’m in prison, but this is the closest I’ve been to God."
Richie, ICP Participant
“This is truly the most amazing thing I've discovered in my life... It's not just a book to me, it's what my soul has been crying out for my entire life!"
