Jimmer Prieto

Instructor

Jimmer Prieto was born in Colombia. He discovered his calling as a teacher at an early age, opening his first school for friends in his home at the age of 17. He studied Philosophy and worked as a teacher for more than forty years. In 1985, he and his wife experienced a new birth in Jesus Christ, following a healing that forever changed the course of their lives. At the beginning of the 21st century, The Urantia Book came into his hands and illuminated the gaps he had long encountered in Christian churches. It also quenched his spiritual thirst, inspiring him to one day become a teacher of the precious truths of the Fifth Revelation.
Since then, Jimmer has taken many courses and taught others, in addition to giving presentations and leading creative workshops. He has lived in the United States since 1990, where he earned a Master’s degree in Peace Studies and became certified as a K-12 teacher of Spanish and Mathematics. Although he retired eight years ago, he continues to feel called to serve the living gospel for the rest of his days.

Roy Healy

Instructor

Roy Healy is a passionate bridge-builder between education, spirituality, and humanitarian service. With a lifetime of achievements spanning decades, Roy’s journey is a vibrant tapestry of devotion to spiritual growth, educational excellence, and global betterment. His mission is simple yet profound: to spark enthusiasm for spiritual discovery and empower others to live with cosmic purpose.

A lifelong seeker and sharer of truth, Roy’s path has taken him from the halls of the United Nations — where he helped develop the landmark "HABITAT" Conference and led the Community Forum for "The World Symposium on Humanity" — to collaborations with global visionaries like Mother Teresa, Buckminster Fuller, and Barbara Marx Hubbard. In ministry, education, and life, Roy has spent over 45 years as a devoted reader, teacher, and advocate of the Urantia Book. As an ordained Unity Minister, he has brought comfort and inspiration to hospitals, hospices, churches, and communities, while also teaching computer sciences and professional excellence in academia and business. He’s the creative force behind "SpiritQuest", "The Evolution of Consciousness" video series, "The Urantia Book for Dummies," and co-productions like The Cosmic Citizen audio series — always striving to make complex spiritual ideas accessible, meaningful, and exciting. With a heart that beats for service, Roy’s work has touched thousands through workshops, seminars, and spiritual forums, welcoming teachers like Marianne Williamson, Gary Zukav, and Barbara Marx Hubbard to the conversations he sparks.

He’s a master at threading deep philosophy through relatable stories, always chasing higher meanings and deeper connections. Fueled by curiosity, compassion, and a bit of old-school wit, Roy works at the crossroads where ancient wisdom meets modern seekers — guiding, questioning, uplifting, and quietly daring others to fathom the incredible. At home, Roy enjoys the blessings of a 59-year marriage, two adult children, and three grandchildren — a life lived fully in love, wisdom, and joyful service. Roy Healy invites collaboration, communication, and cosmic adventure. He is always open to new ways to inspire, uplift, and educate those seeking a deeper path.

Rob has been a student of religion - really a seeker of truth, since his youth. He became dissatisfied with Christianity when he was only 10 years old and found himself unable to accept the concept of purgatory - he just couldn't believe God would punish his innocent children in that manner. As with many of us, the more he read, the more he became convinced that he'd never run across a religious text with such depths of spiritual truth. Gradually, he began to realize that the Urantia Book could only have been written with divine spiritual guidance and he made that leap. Now, many years later he is happy to be part of the Hawaii Islands Urantia Readers Group and to find himself firmly on the ascension path as a Son of God.
He teaches "The Life and Teachings of Jesus" for UUI's Urantia Book Studies Program and Part IV of the Urantia Book for the Teacher Training Program with his partner, Geri Johnson.
