Course Description
The purpose of this course is to grow in God-consciousness and respond to the great challenge of achieving better communication with the divine Monitor that dwells within the human mind.
We are taught that "Such an experience constitutes God-consciousness, an experience mightily confirmative of the pre-existent truth of the religious experience of knowing God. Such spirit-consciousness is the equivalent of the knowledge of the actuality of sonship with God. Otherwise, the assurance of sonship is the experience of faith. (196:3.34 (2097.2))
Any soul who yearns for God and makes a sane, wholehearted, and well-balanced effort to reach the borderland of spirit-consciousness is bound to make contact with the divine presence sooner or later. This experience of God-consciousness is "equivalent to the integration of the self with the universe, and on its highest levels of spiritual reality." (96:3.35 (2097.3))
Format
This experiential course focuses on earnest inquiry, personal insight, sharing one's religious experiences with others in a circle of trust, and practicing prayer, meditation, and worship. It does not require extensive reading or any written homework - only sincere personal spiritual practice throughout the days and weeks of the course.
The course will feature a total of 7 live class discussions in a Zoom meeting room during which the students and facilitators will meet to discuss the week's growth concepts, learning activities, and reflective questions within the privacy of a circle of trust.
Participants will be guided by relevant passages in The Urantia Book, the practices of prayer and worship, and meditative contemplation of two or three probing questions that stir the truth-seeking mind and provoke insight.

Participants are invited to use Telegram - a smartphone app - to receive inspirational messages from the course guides and to chat among themselves during the week.
Weekly Outline
Week 1: Introduction to "Our Quest for God-consciousness" – Initiating the circle of trust; sharing our purpose and objectives; discussing our motivations.
Week 2: The comprehension of the idea of God
Week 3: The Presence of God
Week 4: The realization of the ideal of God
Week 5: The realization of the spirit reality of God
Week 6: The consciousness of the presence of God
Week 7: Integrating our experience ~ worship-prayer-service
Commune with God through worshipful meditation
Communicate with God through effective prayer
Collaborate with God in loving unselfish service
Each weekly Zoom class will be two hours long.

Instructors
Guy and Agnes have been dedicated students of The Urantia Book since 2000 and work vigilantly and diligently to live and share its incomparable teachings in their daily lives. Their goal is to serve selflessly in all spheres and places of activity: education, individual, family, and community. They have given workshops in English and in French, including “Is God’s Love Unconditional,” “Discourse of the Master on the Soul,” “Teaching and Leadership According to The Urantia Book,” and “Are We in the Way of God,” among many others. They work and live in Belgium.
